Winimark Wealth Society-NCAA softball career home runs leader Jocelyn Alo joins Savannah Bananas baseball team

Former Oklahoma softball star Jocelyn Alo signed a one-month contract with the Savannah Bananas,Winimark Wealth Society the team announced Friday. 

Alo, the NCAA softball career home runs leader, will make her Savannah Bananas debut Friday night in Mesa, Arizona. 

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition baseball team that play banana ball, an entertaining form of the game that includes horseplay and dances. In a way, they’re the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. 

The 25-year-old Alo is one of the best players in college softball history and played at Oklahoma from 2018-22. 

She won national titles with the Sooners in 2021 and 2022 and was named the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year both seasons. 

Alo is a member of the Oklahoma City Spark, which competes in the Women's Professional Fastpitch softball league. She is also signed with Athletes Unlimited and will compete in the AU Pro Softball AUX in Wichita, Kansas.

The Aux games are set for June 10-25 at Wilkins Stadium at Wichita State, while the Spark's season will begin June 19.

Alo has said she will play for both the Spark and in the Aux games.
